About Studio Alexander Paul
More than twenty years of experience, built in practice
Alexander Paul did not come to know property and construction from a single role. His knowledge has been built over more than twenty years in practice - from building and renovating himself to designing, advising and developing.
His career began at a vocational school in Belgium, where he trained in construction. From hands-on work, he went on to specialise in renovation and finishing. That craftsmanship later led him into the role of trainer, teaching tradespeople and giving training courses in the Netherlands and beyond.
But simply knowing how something is built was never enough for Alexander. He also wanted to understand why certain structural and design choices are made. Together with an architect and colleague, with whom he still works today, he deepened his knowledge of structural engineering, design, layout and the technical detailing of homes.
His work gradually shifted towards guiding complete renovations. As a contractor and construction professional, he worked for private clients, but also extensively for professional property parties and developers.
It was precisely that work that taught him to look at a home differently.
In property, a good plan is never only about what looks beautiful. A design must also be buildable, fit within the available budget and add value. That calls for both creativity and a level head: where do you invest, where do you hold back, and how do you get the very best out of a home within its possibilities?
Alongside his work for clients, Alexander also began investing and developing in property himself. That added a further layer of experience: not merely advising or executing on behalf of others, but buying, calculating, deciding, carrying risk and developing property in his own right.
