What data we process

We only process data you give us yourself, or that arises from your visit to our website.

When you use our contact form, email us or call us, we process the details you share. Usually that is your name, email address, phone number, the subject of your question, the region and rough budget involved, and your message. If you attach a floor plan, photos or other files, we process those too.

When you submit the contact form, our email provider delivers your enquiry to us as an email. We do not keep your enquiry in a database on this website; it arrives in our mailbox.

If you reached our website through an advertisement, your enquiry also tells us which advertisement or campaign that was. We use this only to see which advertisements work, and it tells us nothing about you personally. We do not store your IP address or browser details with it.

When you visit the website we process technical data such as your IP address, device and browser type and the pages you view. This is done by the party hosting the website, to keep it secure and available.

What we use your data for

We use your data for the following purposes, and no others.

  • To answer your question and arrange an introductory conversation. Basis: this is necessary to prepare an agreement at your request.
  • To carry out our services once you become a client. Basis: performance of the contract.
  • To keep the website secure and available. Basis: our legitimate interest in a properly working website.
  • To measure how the website is used and how our advertising performs. Basis: your consent, given via the cookie banner and revocable at any time.

Cookies and measurement

Without your consent we set no analytics or marketing cookies. What the website always does is remember your language and your cookie choice in your browser. No consent is needed for that, because the website would not work properly otherwise.

If you give consent via the cookie banner, we may use the following services. They set cookies that recognise your browser and link your visit to an advertisement or an earlier visit.

  • Google Analytics - to see which pages are visited and how visitors use the website.
  • Google Ads - to measure whether an advertisement led to an enquiry.
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram) - to measure whether an advertisement led to an enquiry and to show advertisements to people who visited our website before.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your data and only share it with parties we need to do our work: the party hosting our website and email, the service that delivers contact form enquiries to us by email, and, only with your consent, Google and Meta for the measurement described above. Google and Meta may process data outside the European Union; both are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

When you are a client and your project requires it, we share relevant details with parties we engage on your behalf, such as a contractor, structural engineer or architect. We only do so after consulting you.

How long we keep data

Data from an enquiry is kept for up to one year after our last contact, unless you become a client. Client data is kept for as long as the project requires and for seven years afterwards, as Dutch tax law requires of our records. Measurement data is retained by the services named above according to their own periods, which we set as short as possible.

Your rights

You can always ask us what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to its use, or ask for it to be transferred to you or someone else. Consent you have given can be withdrawn at any time; for cookies, use 'Cookie settings' at the bottom of every page.

Send your request to info@studioalexanderpaul.nl. We respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Security

The website is only available over a secure connection (https). Data you send us is only seen by those who need it to answer your question.

Changes

We may update this statement, for instance when we start using a new service. The current version is always on this page, with the date of the last change.

You can change your cookie choice at any time.
